shoe shine shoe blind

Salam.

(Hi Aisha!)

Today, I am going to talk about something that might just make girls giggle. Girls like me I suppose. Hehh. It's part of fashion. Some might just make a pass for it but to me it's important all the same.

To others, they're just shoes. To some of us, they're gladiator sandals, stilletos, killer heels, platforms, studded or jeweled flats, ballerina flats, sneakers and the list goes on and on. I tell you, it really is a powerful tool. You'll feel fabulous even on Fat Days with shoes. They can't go wrong can they?

Shoes come from a long long way. From just to protect your feet from harm to making a fashion statement, shoes has its own history just like any other. But here's some tips that might just be a tad useful. :D

If the shoe doesn't fit, don't buy it. It won't stretch enough to be comfortable and goodness knows, your feet will never shrink. Make sure you follow these guidelines:

- There should be about 1/2" between the tip of your biggest toe and the end of the shoe.
- Stand up when being fitted because feet are longer when you're standing.
- Buy shoes at the end of the day when feet are largest.
- Measure both of your feet - they may not be the same size. (I personaly have this problem)

Shoes had proven that sometimes, you have to hurt to gain. But really, corns, bunions, hammer toes, shortened calf muscles and ingrown toenails don't sound like "must-haves". The 'ideal shoes' one would suggest is a one and a half to two inch heels.

Though sticking to flats all the way won't work for the heels too. Too much pressure for a four hour shopping spree will tire your pretty heels. Alternate between heels and flats. The more reason do you need to shop for shoes, right? (: Always a good reason.

Love, Nabilah.
