They're the best things on earth. Hugss!

Wild Elephants

Salam!

(Hi Aqilah!)

So, I might not be over gown yet. Hehe. Found this beauty and I thought that I could make it a pass for the hijabis! I've added a pants, a long-sleeved t-shirt and a cape. The cape's main purpose is to hide those curves so you can wear it after you put on your favourite hijab! Sometimes, these things make life so easy. People just don't see it. <3

So, would you walk down orchard or town in this? Maybe I will. For a photoshoot. :D

For the nights I can't remember

Salam!

(Hi Ama! Hi Misliana!)

I will gladly admit that I love those victorian era inspired dresses. If I can choose a time to live, I will choose that. Just because of the lovely dresses, the elbow-length gloves and small quirky hats. Oh, who can forget the small mini umbrella?

But here in sunny Singapore, you wear that because a) you just went to a prom, b) you just went to a costume party and you're dolling up as Lady Bella (I just finished a Julia Quinn book. Hence the name.) or c) it's halloween. :D So I had to make do with dresses of all sorts and I have a few too much but I love them all! Will show them to ya, inshaAllah. (:

But here are some of my favourite photos of dresses from veiled lady's photostream. (pssst: Check out her page!!)

I spy with my little eyes something yellow and black. This might not be like a victorian dress but i like the simple effect of this dress. It made me think she's some kind of a spy. Just look at the cuffs! Simply stunning. Get this look with a black straight dress, a thin (faux or not) leather belt and a very stunning hijab to complete the look. Bags of any shades of black to grey (but not white!) or the colour of the tudung you're wearing will be fine. Now you can be more excited to play "I spy".

What's more girly than ruffles? The pleated ruffles did a stunning job to what might be an ordiary dress. I honestly am not a fan of white apparels because of it's insanely tedious how-to-take-care-of-this but this kind of things just make me want to buy everything in white. (Though it does feel like a not-so-fancy wedding dress). Will be a great dress for formal occasion with that pearly clutch in hand. Grab this look for your prom or dinner events!

Maxi dress. I am guessing the material for this dress is satin and it'll make you comfortabe just holding it. You'll want to buy it. This kind of maxi dress is an all range here in Singapore since it's not heavy and bulky. Makes shopping, school and your working days easier. There is a shop in Bugis Street which sells all kind of Maxi Dress and it's like a shopping heaven in there. The prices are on the expensive side rangin from $30 to $50 but it's all worth it since the material is good. Pair it up with your favourite cardigan or inner long-sleeved shirt, put on your hijab and you're all ready to go!

Both the above dresses are what mae me wants to turn back time and go back to that victorian era. Just look at the princess cut and all the ruffles, accesories, embroideries and such. It is really a suit for the royals. The upper part of the dress is tight but if you look caefully, this seem like a two piece dress. Therefore, I advice you to take a size (or even two!) bigger. The bigger the better, I say! Love the rich dark maroon colour on the first dress. And the pink one is just too cute to be ignored! Well, you can snatch this look for your prom or wedding day! You'll be the most gorgeous hijabi bride! :D

Will you be bold and try? We should really do a photoshoot of our own! I'm quite well-versed with the camera. We can just have a picnic, you know? :D

Lots of <3, Nabilah.

Another Polyvore Set

Salam!

Tomorrow is such a big day for me! Well, tomorrow we'll be the results of the Joint-Admission Programme for O (for ordinary) level examination takers and it is when I will know where I will be schooling for the next half a year. Really nervous but I hope everything will go well, inshaAllah, amin! :D

Here is another polyvore set I made in the middle of the night due to not being able to sleep. :D This set is more focused on what I would wear for a more formal day. I love shades of grey. They are the in between of black (which sometimes may be too dark for people) and white (which might just look too ghostly/pearly if overdone).

Well, it works if one of your items is a stand out and I chose my clutch to be of colours in contrast to the whole grey style. Boyfit jeans are usually loose and if you can't find any boyfit jeans, just wear any pants or a straight cut jeans. If you're still worried that it might show your legs' shape, just buy a size bigger. That will do the trick (and a belt will help you too!). For a more formal look, a blazer or a jacket may do the trick. Lastly, wear the hijab as however you want! You'll look beautiful for that meeting of yours! Happy trying! :D

Casual

salam!

Well, the seling post will have to wait afterall. There is so much work to it! We'll see how things go but inshaAllah, it will be sooner or later. :D

Here is some polyvore sets I did because of boredom. This is a casual look which is what most of us Singaporean teenagers would don. The heat gets to us and minimalism (is there even such a word? hehh) is favoured.

You can add belts and bangles or even a long necklace to finish off this look. With a bag in hand to put your purse, cash and credit card in, we're ready to shop aren't we?

Love.

Bismillah

May this be a very good beginning to an endless threads. :D

Helloooooo!

I was really inspired to do this blog because of Sis Ange of hegab-rehab.blogspot.com. Well, I did have the intentions before this but I had no motivations. Adding to that, It had been two years in a row that I have been putting off this mini 'project' as I would call it. My first baby, yeaah? (: But because I am both jobless and also doesn't have school, I have the extra time to try and set this up. InshaAllah, I would upate this as frequently as possible. (:

The aim of this blog is to:
1. share the fashin trends of the muslimahs in Singapore,
2. create a platform for the shy, not outspoken ones,
3. share some fashion tips,
4. offer advices, nasihah and tazkirahs,
5. just share.

I might be posting up a selling post in the upcoming post to start the ball rolling, as we say it. Hehh. May friendships bloom from this blog, InshaAllah.

p.s: I have major typos error from past experieces. Plese don't mind me.

Love, Nabilah.
